Welcome to Matt's Piano School!

With over 20 years of playing experience, a Grade 8 certification, and a Masters in film scoring, I provide engaging lessons for all skill levels. Whether you're passionate about classical or popular music, my lessons are tailored to suit all musical interests.

I teach both privately and through established organisations such as City Academy and Blackheath Conservatoire. I also specialise in preparing students for graded piano exams (ABRSM and Trinity), currently supporting pupils working towards Grades 1 to 5, with students achieving strong results including Merits and Distinctions.

At my home studio, a short walk from Kidbrooke Station, you'll have the opportunity to practice on a brand-new Kawai piano, ensuring the best learning experience.

Matt Oldreive

Matt is based in London, England. He is a passionate composer for Film & TV licensing, an accomplished pianist and teacher, and a hobbyist vocalist.

He completed his MA in Music for the Moving Image at Leeds Beckett University in 2022 and holds a Grade 8 Piano (Merit).

Matt teaches piano both privately and through organisations such as City Academy and Blackheath Conservatoire. He works with a wide range of students including complete beginners, hobbyists, advanced players, students preparing for exams, and young learners. His home studio, located 3 minutes from Kidbrooke Station, features a brand-new Kawai piano for your lessons.
